First Aid Adapted to Early Childhood

Effective April 1st, 2016, all daycare staff must have passed a first aid training adapted to early childhood, for a minimum of 8 hours which includes a component on the management of severe allergic reactions.

Available to educators in all types of facilities, Santinel’s child care first aid training meets the requirements of the Minister of Families.

Children at a young age are more likely to have accidents and it is essential that the people who surround them know what actions to perform in case of an emergency. That is why the Laws regarding Early Childhood Centers and other Childhood care services of Quebec (R.S.Q., c. C – 8.2, a. 73) inform us that a first aid certificate is required for all workers in the workplace of Early Childhood care.

Need equipment?

Of course, rescuers need first aid equipment to fulfill their responsibilities. Whether you are in search of usual equipment or specialized equipment, such as automated external defibrillators (AED), we can assist you in selecting the right product. Note that all our first aid kits comply with the new standards in effect since March 17, 2021.

All the notions were coming back to me

I recently intervened when a lady had a head injury. I was surprised to see how quickly everything I learned in my classes was coming back. The craziest part about this story is that my brother, who works in the ER in St-Jerome, was there when the lady arrived in the hospital.
