First Aid for Drivers of Students

Train school bus drivers to respond effectively to medical emergencies on board, ensuring the safety of students throughout their transport.

Even with all precautions in place, incidents can occur during school transportation: fainting, loss of consciousness, allergic reactions… Students are never completely safe.

This training is designed to equip bus drivers so they can respond quickly and confidently in a medical emergency. A rapid response can make all the difference between school and home. It is intended for school bus drivers, as well as anyone driving a vehicle used to transport students between their school and home.

In this training, you will learn:

  • Recognition of emergency signs in children
  • Steps for intervention in critical situations
  • Response to fainting, falls, or allergic reactions
  • Use of epinephrine (auto-injector)
  • Communication techniques with emergency services
  • Safety protocols specific to school transportation
  • Prevention and management of incidents on board a vehicle
