Workplace first aid certification must be renewed before it expires, typically every 3 years. Renewing your certification on time ensures that your skills remain current and that you continue to meet workplace safety requirements.

The certification card is usually provided at the end of the training course or sent within a few days after successfully completing the program. It serves as official proof of recognized first aid training and may be required by employers and regulatory authorities.

The number of first aiders required depends on several factors, including the number of employees, the type of business activities, and the level of workplace risk. CNESST regulations require a minimum number of trained first aiders to be available on each work shift to ensure a rapid response in the event of an emergency.
