PDSP Training – Safe Patient Handling and Movement Principles

Learn safe patient handling and transfer techniques to help prevent injuries for both healthcare workers and the people they assist.

Safe patient handling is part of the daily routine for many healthcare and social services professionals. When performed incorrectly, patient transfers and repositioning can result in serious injuries for both caregivers and patients.

The PDSP (Safe Patient Handling and Movement Principles) training teaches evidence-based techniques for safely moving, transferring, and repositioning patients while promoting their comfort, dignity, and independence.

Recognized as the standard approach in healthcare settings, this training also helps prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), one of the leading causes of workplace injuries among healthcare professionals.
