While not as comprehensive as the 2-day Workplace First Aid course, this training provides a solid foundation in first aid. It allows participants to develop the essential reflexes to respond quickly in an emergency, whether at home, at work, or in the community.
In this training, you will learn:
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Airway obstruction relief
- Emergency medical interventions (fainting, seizures, heart attack, etc.)
- Recognition and management of shock
- Poisoning and allergic reactions
- Trauma: falls, injuries, burns, etc.

- Anyone required to obtain “emergency first aid” accreditation according to their organization’s requirements
- Citizens wishing to learn basic first aid to help those around them in case of an incident
