Young children are particularly vulnerable to accidents. Whether it’s choking, a fall, or an allergic reaction, it is essential that childcare staff know how to respond quickly, calmly, and effectively.
In Quebec, the Act respecting early childhood centers and other childcare services (R.S.Q., c. C-8.2, s. 73) requires that all educational staff hold a valid first aid certificate. This is a legal requirement essential for ensuring the safety of children from their earliest years.
In this training, you will learn:
- Choking, severe allergies, and anaphylactic reactions
- Child-adapted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- First aid (fractures, seizures, eye injuries, etc.)
