Keep workers in confined spaces safe by training your teams to properly carry out emergency rescues.
Our comprehensive training not only covers the steps to take to assist the victim in the safest way possible but also all aspects directly or indirectly related to confined space rescue, such as the responsibilities of each responder, the emotional burden of the rescue, the use, inspection and maintenance of rescue equipment, effective communication between all responders, etc.
Each training session includes a theoretical as well as a practical section with role-playing scenarios and exercises. At the end of the training, participants will be able to perform a confined space rescue according to the requirements of the Act respecting occupational health and safety (R.S.Q., c.S-2.1, Section XXVI).
Learning series:
- Safety of the rescuer and victim
- Rescue standards and procedures
- Emergency measures (alarm, communicating with emergency services, assessing the situation, determining the rescue plan, etc.)
- Rescue equipment: harness, stretcher, gurney, winch, hoist, carabiners, cables, radio, etc.
- Post-rescue: debriefing, reporting, maintenance and stowing equipment
This course is intended for all employees who may be called upon to perform a confined space rescue. Although not mandatory for participants of this course, the “Workplace First Aid” course is recommended.
